Thrissur, Kerala

Thrissur is one of the best-prepared towns in Kerala. Legend has it that the city was founded by Lord Parasurama soon after the creation of Kerala by constructing a huge Shiva sanctuary. The entire city is centered on the incredible Shiva temple known as the Vadakumnathan temple. The shrine is located at the intersection of a large roundabout that is 64 acres in size. This roundabout is known as Swaraj Round.

Charpa Falls is another natural wonder that shows the favor of Mother Nature. This waterfall, which cascades from a rocky outcrop, is a part of the river Chalakkudy and offers amazing insight. Athirappilly Falls and Vachumaram Lake are not far from Charpa Falls.

The water here falls in seven stages, forming a pool at each arrival. The lush greenery surrounding the falls is also outstanding. One of the most sought-after cooking spots is named after the seeker Thommachen Kuruvinakunnel, who discovered the falls. This is a unique place to visit.
