Thiruvankulam is a suburb of Kochi in the state of Kerala in India. It is part of the Tripunithura Municipality and the Kochi Metropolitan Region. In the times of the Kochi and Travancore kingdoms, Thiruvankulam was a hinterland town. The Kavaleeshwaram stream, now a canal, separated the two kingdoms. The Kochi – Madurai National Highway NH 49 passes through Thiruvankulam.
