The Lavi Fair, also known as the Lavi Mela, is an internationally recognized trade fair held in Rampur Bushahr, Shimla. It is a significant cultural and commercial event that dates back to the signing of a trade treaty between the erstwhile Bushahr state and Tibet in the late 17th century.
The fair takes place in November, with the cultural night function held from November 11 to 14 at the PGSS boys’ school in Rampur Bushahr. The trade fair itself continues throughout November and is held at Part Bungalow in Rampur Bushahr.
The Lavi Fair attracts tourists from around the world and is considered the most important trade and commercial fair (Mela) in Shimla as well as Himachal Pradesh. It is a platform for trade, showcasing a wide range of products such as handicrafts, textiles, agricultural goods, and local artifacts.
