Qutub Minar, Delhi

Qutub Minar is a minaret or a victory tower in the Qutub complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Delhi’s Mehrauli district. At a height of 72.5 meters (238 ft), Qutub Minar is the second tallest monument in Delhi. Its construction was started in 1192 by Qutb Ud-Din-Aibak, the founder of the Delhi Sultanate after he defeated the last Hindu ruler of Delhi. He built the basement. Afterward, the construction was taken over by his son-in-law and successor Iltutmish, who built three more floors.

Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque

Located within the Qutub Minar complex at Mehrauli in Delhi, the Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque (translated as ‘Power of Islam’) was built by the Mamluk ruler Qutub-ud-din Aibak. The monument is the first mosque built in the city after the Islamic conquest of India and is considered a celebration of Muslim rule. The mosque is considered one of the most magnificent structures in the world.

Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple

An epitome of Indian culture, spirituality, and architecture, the Akshardham Temple is a famous Hindu temple and spiritual-cultural complex. It is also known as Swaminarayan Akshardham and is dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan. Akshardham has made it into the Guinness Book of Records as the largest comprehensive Hindu temple in the world. The Akshardham temple is known for its stunning architecture. It has eight magnificently carved mandapams, while timeless Hindu teachings and extravagant devotional traditions find their place on the walls of the temple.
