Palakkad, Kerala

Hailed as the granary of Kerala, Palakkad is a vast area of green plains dotted with hills, rivers, mountain streams, and forests. The gateway to Kerala from the north, a 40-kilometer cut in the mountains known as the Palakkad Gap, provides access to this land at the foot of the Western.

The famous picnic spot, which consists of a dam and beautifully landscaped gardens, is located on the lower hills of the Western Ghats. The main attractions include a rose garden and a ropeway interspersed with lush lawns, flower beds, and fountains.
