Located in the Saket District Centre in New Delhi, the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art is the first private museum in India dedicated to contemporary and modern art. The idea of the museum was inspired by similar repositories in the US such as the Guggenheim, MoMA, and the Whitney. In the beginning, Mrs. Kiran Nadar displayed the exhibits in a cafeteria outside her husband’s office, but later the gallery moved to South Court Mall in Saket.
