The Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah, dedicated to the world-famous Muslim Sufi saint Nizamuddin Chisti, is a mausoleum and shrine in Delhi. The Dargah complex is a beautiful mix of red stone and white marble and was built in 1526. Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah seeks to spread the Sufi tradition, which is based on spirituality and considers all religions equal.
An air of spirituality and serenity seems to be omnipresent at Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah, where you will find crowds of devotees even in the late evening hours. The spirit of service is omnipresent here and every Thursday and Sunday there is a langar or free community kitchen for the devotees, where only vegetarian food is served. The Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah also hosts qawwali and Sufi chanting on Thursdays and Saturdays and a number of Sufi singers come here to pay their respects.
