Gurdwara Sant Ghat Sahib is a historical gurdwara located in the city of Sultanpur Lodhi in the Kapurthala district of the Indian state of Punjab. The Gurdwara is situated on the banks of the holy Bein River, which is said to have played an important role in the life of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism. The gurdwara is believed to be the site where Guru Nanak Dev Ji first received a divine revelation and was blessed with spiritual enlightenment. It is also said that Guru Nanak Dev Ji used to take his daily bath in the Bein River at this very spot, which is why the gurdwara is also known as “Sant Ghat” (meaning “saintly steps”).
The gurdwara complex includes several buildings, including the main prayer hall, langar hall (free community kitchen), and a historical well-known as “Baba Naurang Singh Baoli”. The gurdwara also has a museum that houses various relics and artifacts related to the life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The Gurdwara is an important pilgrimage site for Sikhs, and attracts thousands of devotees every year, especially during the Gurpurab festival, which commemorates the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
