Gurdwara Baba Atal is a historic Sikh shrine located in the city of Amritsar in the Indian state of Punjab. It is dedicated to Baba Atal Rai, the son of Guru Hargobind Sahib, the sixth Sikh guru.The gurdwara is a nine-story octagonal tower, which is 40 meters high and has a total of 108 steps leading to the top. Each floor of the tower has a different theme from Sikh history, and the top floor has a golden dome that offers a panoramic view of Amritsar.
The gurdwara is a popular pilgrimage site for Sikhs and is known for its beautiful architecture and rich history. It is believed that Baba Atal Rai, who died at the age of nine, had the power to bring the dead back to life. His father, Guru Hargobind Sahib, performed a miracle and brought his son back to life after he died. Baba Atal Rai then lived for another nine years before passing away.
