Connaught Place or ‘CP’ as it is commonly known, is a huge commercial and financial hub in New Delhi. Named after the Duke of Connaught and Strathearn, this bewildering market complex houses almost all the well-known international chain shops, famous food chains, restaurants, and bars. Connaught Place is home to one of the largest national flags in the country.
Connaught Place is home to some of the city’s most beautiful colonial buildings. The place is teeming with people and there are many contemporary art galleries, antique theatres like the Regal Cinema, and toy shops. The first ice cream parlor, the first toy shop, and Delhi’s first art gallery were opened in this place.
