Jagatram is a generally remarkable and ancient place near Vikasnagar, Dehradun. Jagatram has located 6 km from Vikasnagar and is known for its ancient horse finds. This remarkable site is currently under the care of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). Around the first fifth century AD Jagatram and places like Haripur, and Lakhamandal were under the rule of the Vermans clan.
In 3 AD a Verman king, ‘Sil Verman’ performs 4 customs known as Ashwamegha Yagya. In these customs, he performed horse penances to boost his energy. Of the four destinations, three are already known, and the fourth is yet to be found.
