Gandhi Park is one of the most famous parks of Dehradun. On one side of the recreation centre is the Parade Ground, while on the opposite side is Rajpur Road with major restaurants like Buffet Restaurant and Kumar Vegetarian. On the opposite side of the recreation centre is Astley Corridor, which includes the famous Orient Cinema. The recreation centre is located on the main Rajpur Road, barely a kilometre from the Clock Tower.
The recreation centre is a great hangout for joggers in the early hours of the morning. The recreation centre also has children’s slides and a play area for children. From time to time, camps are organised near the recreation centre, such as eye check-up camps.
