It is the base station and the nearest road point to the Sabarimala temple. Pamba is a beautiful area and a good trekking destination. Pamba takes its name from the Pamba River, also called the Pampa River, which flows through this great place.
Pamba is also called Thriveni Sangam as three watercourses converge here – Pamba, Achankovil, and Manimala. Pioneers traveling to Sabarimala take a dip in the watercourse here as they trek up the slope. The Maha Ganapathy temple is also a popular destination in Pamba. Pamba is connected to Pathanamthitta by transport.
